Paul Everett Hopper Jr., 74, passed away in Little Rock on Saturday, January 6, 2018. He was born on September 8, 1943 in Memphis, Tennessee to the late Paul Everett Hopper Sr and Nadine Allen. Paul was a graduate of Jonesboro High School (Class of ’61), Arkansas State University, and the University Of Arkansas School Of Law. Paul served as a captain in the United States Air Force, stationed in Thailand during the Vietnam War. He continued to serve as a JAG officer in the Air Force Reserves for over twenty years, achieving the rank of major. After serving his country Paul practiced law in various parts of Northeast Arkansas.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Maradyth and Colin McKenzie of Little Rock; grandson, Connor Thomas McKenzie of Little Rock; his former wife and her husband, Karen and Charles Fullen of Jonesboro; brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Vanessa Hopper of Rockford IL; sister and brother-in-law Betty and Robert Montgomery of Bono, Arkansas.
Visitation will be held from 1-3 PM on Sunday, January 14, 2018 at Emerson Funeral Home. Burial will be private and directed by Emerson Funeral Home.
