Paul G. Frost

November 25, 1923 — April 23, 2013

Paul G. Frost, 89, of Jonesboro passed away April 23, 2013 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. Paul was born in Waterman, Illinois. He was a 1941 graduate of Waterman High School and served in the U.S. Army 1943-45 with the Combat Engineers and was involved in the Pacific theater invasion of Leyte, Okinawa and occupation duty in Korea. He married Jennie Mae Hanouw on December 12, 1947. He was employed by the Burlington Railroad and later Oberweis Dairy in Aurora, Illinois. He retired from the dairy in 1983 and moved to Arkansas in 1986. He tended a large vegetable garden and kept a beautiful yard near Bono until moving to Jonesboro in 2009. He also kept busy with woodworking and volunteering for organizations including the First United Methodist Church, the Food Pantry, the Red Cross and the Exchange Club. He was also a member of the V.F.W. and the American Legion.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers, 4 sisters and his son, Thomas Alan Frost.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Jennie, of the home; daughter, Cynthia Frost, granddaughter, Meghan (Erick) Bacon and great-grandson, Deklan Bacon, all of Georgia.

There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, April 28, 2013 at the First United Methodist Chapel and burial will be private. Emerson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
