Paul Ray Davidson

September 14, 1967 — July 14, 2008

Paul Ray Davidson, 40, of Jonesboro died Monday. He was a lifelong resident of Jonesboro and was an avid basketball player in a league. He was owner of Sonic Drive-In on Stadium.

He is survived by his father and mother, David and Paula Gill Nelms; one son, Cameron Davidson, of the home; three daughters, Hilary Davidson Mallory Davidson of Jonesboro and Gabbi McQuay of the home; two brothers, Rick Davidson of Jonesboro and Clint Nelms of North Carolina; a sister Rebecca Harrell of Jonesboro; fiancée Laura McQuay; grandmother Marilla Gill. He was also Uncle Crazy to Jade, Trey, and Jordan Johnson, Jahren Wilson, Hayden Harrell, and Will and Troy Davidson, and great uncle to Thatcher Harrell.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, William (Bill) Gill, Jr.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday morning at First Christian Church of Jonesboro with Mitch Ford officiating. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Emerson Funeral Home of Jonesboro.

Active pallbearers will be Matt Roberson, Rodney Hannah, Rodney Elwood, Rusty Honeycutt, John Goad, and Barrett Harrelson. Honorary pallbearers will be Scott Lawrence, Eli Winfree, Chris McQuay, Matt McQuay, Todd Harrell, Dallas Benson, Mike Morse, and the Employees of Sonic on Stadium.

Memorials may be left to Arkansas Children’s Hospital or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
