Paul Hiram Cooper

Paul Hiram Cooper, 74, of Jonesboro, AR passed away from this life on Saturday, July 15, 2023 at St. Bernard’s Medical Center in Jonesboro.

He was born February 7, 1949 in Weiner, AR to the late Willis and Letha Irene (Kieffer) Cooper.

Paul owned and operated Cooper Body Shop in Jonesboro most of his adult life. He was a self-less man, who was willing to help anyone in need.

Paul was a Christian and of Baptist belief. He loved gathering with his family and most of all, enjoying time with his grandkids. He also enjoyed spending time with his life-long companion, Peggy Edwards and their little dog Pepper, whom he loved dearly.

Paul is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Ralph Cooper, George Cooper, twin brothers, Larry and Jerry Cooper, and sisters Jean Russell and Ola Kee.

He is survived by his children, Matt (Amy) Cooper of Jonesboro, AR, Amie (Shane) Posey of Leachville, AR, Joshua Cooper of Jonesboro, AR, and Katie (Albert) Browder of Trumann, AR. He is survived by sisters Lena Henderson of Jonesboro, AR, Linda (Butch) Ellison of Jonesboro, AR, Letha (Paul) Grimm, of Jonesboro, AR, as well as six grandchildren Gage Pipkin of New York, NY, Lee (Lani) Estes, Wesley Posey of Leachville, AR, and Trey, Drake, and Addyson Browder of Trumann, AR. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, double cousins, and close friends whom he loved so much.

A private graveside service will be held in memory of Paul.
