Paul Buel Pickle, 68, of Jonesboro, died Thursday evening at NEA Baptist Hospital.
Born in Jonesboro, Paul lived most of his life in Otwell before moving to Jonesboro 6 years ago. He was a retired building contractor and businessman. Paul was a member of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church where he served on the Administrative Board.
He was a past president of the Valley View School Board and served on the Board for 10 years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was preceded in death by his father, Leonard “Skinny” Pickle.
Survivors include his wife, Kay Keith Pickle of the home;
His mother, Valine Hopkins of Jonesboro;
3 sons: Jim Paul Pickle and Shad Pickle, both of Jonesboro, and Kevin Reagan of Fort Lauderdale, Florida;
2 brothers: Leonard Pickle and Robert Pickle, both of Hardy; and
2 granddaughters: Jordan Brooke Pickle and Kaylie Michelle Pickle.
Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 10:00 in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Rev. Edward Pruett officiating. Burial will follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park.
Active pallbearers include: Joe Turney, Tommy Hendrix, James Keith, Paul Keith,
Aaron Keith and Jim Pickle.
Honorary pallbearers include: Joe Hendrix, Bill McDaniel, the Valley View Class of 1959, and members of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church.
Visitation will be held Sunday evening, 5-8, at Emerson Funeral Home.
