Paul Allen Bloom

Paul Allen Bloom, of Jonesboro formerly of Montana, passed away on September 4, 2023 at St. Bernards Medical Center at the age of 55. Paul was born in Edmonds, WA on September 7, 1967 to Rich Bloom and Bobbie Powers Bloom.

At a young age, Paul showed he was independent and a hard worker. He started his career in the restaurant industry, bussing tables and then worked his way up to a manager position. Paul managed several fish houses during his restaurant career. He built a life of his own and was proud of the accomplishments he achieved along the way.

Paul was a member of Forest Home Church of the Nazarene. He was also a member of the local Elks Lodge.

Bass fishing on Lake Hogue and bow hunting were some of Paul’s favorite pastimes. He was also a gifted pool player and spent many evenings schooling others at the pool hall. Paul loved animals and had a soft spot for rescue dogs. Above all else, Paul loved his family. He spent 34 wonderful years with the love of his life, Donnie, and the two of them built a beautiful life together.

Paul is preceded in death by his mother, Bobbie Jewel Bloom; paternal grandparents, Stan and Evelyn Bloom; and two sisters, Lynn and Shirley.

He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Donnie Bloom of Jonesboro; father, Rich (Cheryl) Bloom of Helena, MT; step-daughter, Dereque Lorraine Stroud (Brian) Falls of Memphis, TN; sisters, Rachael (Chris) Jobes of Helena, MT, Brittany Lee and her children, Cadence and Benjamin of Helena, MT, and Phyllis Obermyer of Nebraska; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, many other loved family members; and a lifetime of cherished friends. Paul also leaves behind his treasured companions – his dogs - Sammie Sam, Lexi, Baylee, and Ruby.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 8, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. at the Forest Home Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Ken Stallings and Rev. Tony Miller officiating. Visitation will be from 4:30 – 6:00 p.m. Burial will be private.
