Paul Irvin Black Jr.

Paul Irvin Black, Jr. of Jonesboro, Arkansas, died February 2, 2022. He was born March 31, 1930, in Memphis, Tennessee, to Paul and Cecelia Schelly Black. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Mildred Carruthers, and daughter Teresa Black Ferrara.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn J. Black; children Thomas (Linda) Black of Germantown, Tennessee; Katherine (Bret) Murray of Adams, Tennessee; Elizabeth Black of Las Cruces, New Mexico; grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister Cecelia (Billy) Howell of Cumming, Georgia; and brother Schelly Black of Huntsville, Georgia.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, February 7 ^th at 10:00 AM at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Jonesboro, Arkansas with Msgr. Scott Friend officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. The rosary will precede the Mass at 9:30 AM.
