Patsy Ann Wood

Patsy Ann Wood, 78, of Jonesboro died Friday, August 30, 2013 at the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House.

Patsy was born November 22, 1934 to the late Charles and Pauline Hansen in Jonesboro. She was a graduated of Valley View high School, and Arkansas State University where she got her degree in nursing. Throughout her years of working she worked as a Registered Nurse for St. Bernards Medical Center, NEA Baptist, as a flight nurse, and also as a traveling nurse. She was very outgoing, and she was a person that never met a stranger. She loved to dance and teach dancing, and she and her husband would travel around and go dancing any opportunity they had. She loved to travel, and especially love to go on cruises. She was a member of the Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church, and was married to her loving husband, Ray for 54 years.

She is survived by her husband, Ray Wood of the home; two sons, Robbie Wood (Sue) of El Paso, TX, Stephen Wood of Jonesboro; two daughters, Patti Johnson (Steve) of Jonesboro, Pamala Chappell (Robert) of Bono; two brothers, Bob Hansen of Jonesboro and Jerry Hansen; one sister, Minnie Turney of Jonesboro; and a host of other family and friends.

Memorial services will be 2pm, Sunday,September 8,2013 at Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church with Rev. Edward Pruett officiating. Burial will be private.

There will be no visitation
