Patsy Ellen Greenwood

Patsy Ellen Greenwood, 79, passed from this life on August 18, 2022 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis. Patsy was born in Trumann on June 6, 1943 to the late Ruby and Ray Simpson. In addition to her parents, Patsy is preceded in death by her husband, Terry Joe Greenwood; and four brothers.

Patsy was a lifelong resident of Northeast Arkansas. She was of the Christian belief and loved watching broadcasts from Trinity Church and Joel Osteen. Patsy enjoyed reading religious books and taking walks when she was healthy. She was a giver. Patsy would help anyone she could help. She worked for many years at St. Bernards Medical Center and eventually retired from there. Most importantly, Patsy loved being with her family, especially her grandkids.

Patsy is survived by her children, Terri Darlene Hoffman of Poplar Bluff, MO, Denise Marie Greenwood of Jonesboro, Billy Franklin Greenwood (Susan) of Eastland, TX, and Patrick Lynn Greenwood (Rebecca) of Jonesboro; brothers, Nick Simpson of Jonesboro and Dave Green of St. Louis; sister, Ruby Dubin of Gainesville, FL; 11 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Monday, August 22, 2022 at Emerson Funeral Home. Burial will be private.
