Patsy Sue Foster

Patsy Sue Foster, 74, departed this life on May 4, 2023, at the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House. She was born January 28, 1949, in Jonesboro to the late William Henry “Bill” and Arittie Georgetta Harris. She was a member of Gospel Chapel Church in Jonesboro, she stood with her husband as a pastor’s wife for 38 years at Gospel Chapel Church until his passing in 2014. They loved to travel to camp meetings, and fellowship meetings from coast to coast. Worked in Gospel Christian Academy touching several kids lives. She was a "hugger" and if you met her, you could feel her love.

Patsy has always had a love for playing the piano and singing. She would spoil her grandkids, and spend as much time as she could with them and her kids. Patsy enjoyed spending time with her church family and her dear friend Sis. Mary Catron. In addition to her parents, Patsy is preceded in death by; her husband of 46 years, Rev. Richard Foster Sr; two brothers, Rev. David Harris, Rev. Henry Harris (Stella); one sister, Ester Walker.

She is survived by; one son, Richard Foster, Jr (Corinne) of Jonesboro; one daughter, Ruchelle (Foster) Hanks (Shannon) of Jonesboro; four grandchildren, Caleb Foster, Samantha Hanks, Sarah Hanks, Caden Foster, all of Jonesboro; one brother, Rev. Bill John Harris (Sandra) of Jonesboro; one sister, Carolyn Hancock of Bono; several nieces and nephews; lifetime of friends, and church family.

Visitation will be Sunday, May 7, 2023 at Emerson Funeral Home beginning at 5:00 P.M. till 7:00 P.M. Funeral services will be Monday, May 8, 2023 at Emerson Memorial Chapel starting at 2:00 P.M. Burial will be at Philadelphia Cemetery.

Rev Alfred Daves and Rev. Ronald Metheny will be officiating the service. Active pallbearers will include; Jeremy Harris, Nathaniel Harris, Corey Harris, Clint Murphy, Chad Hancock, and Clayton Houston. Honorary pallbearers will include; All Brethren at Gospel Chapel Church and throughout the Body of Christ.
