Patricia Moore Watson

Patricia Moore Watson, 82, of Fayetteville, Arkansas, died on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at the Langford House in Fayetteville.  She had lived in Fayetteville for the past three years, moving there from Jonesboro. She was born in Bay, Arkansas, on October 15, 1940, to James and Willagene Moore.  She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Jonesboro and enjoyed her time spent in the women’s Bible study.  As a native of Craighead County, her family had spent many generations in farming, throughout the county.  As a proud member of the Jonesboro Junior Auxiliary, she enjoyed being involved in her community.  One of her many civic pleasures was working at the Helping Neighbors Food Pantry.  Many hours were spent there helping others. She taught many years at South School Elementary. Traveling was always a hobby and spent weeks at a time in St. Martin on the Dutch side.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Ray Watson.

Survivors include her daughters, Renee Watson (Dan Vacca) of St. Louis, Missouri; Leslie Cothern and her husband, Berry of Jonesboro; Laura Hill of Fayetteville; brother, Jim Moore and his wife Freda of Jonesboro; sister, Sheila Moore and husband, David Donovan of Little Rock; grandchildren, Caitlin Cothern, Isabella Cothern, Bailey Hill and Nick Hill; four special nieces, Kelsie, Emily, Lindsey and Jeta.

Graveside services will be 2:00 P.M., Friday, December 16, 2022, at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Fred Haustein officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. All other services will be private.
