Patricia Ann Swayne

January 4, 1944 — December 20, 2022

Patricia Ann Swayne, 78, of Lynn, Ark., passed from this life on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro.

Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, Patricia lived in Kansas City, San Diego, Chicago, Kentucky and Austria before moving to Arkansas. She worked many years in the electronics manufacturing industry as a technician and inspector. Much of her work went into  national defense components and some were done specifically for the Sikorsky Black Hawk Helicopter.

Following her retirement from the electronics profession she served as a missionary to the Philippines through World Faith Ministries. While serving in the country of Austria, she was instrumental in smuggling Bibles behind the Iron Curtain.

Upon returning to the United States, Patricia enjoyed sewing, traveling, studying her Bible and serving God, family and community. She was preceded in death by her parents: William Howard and Alma Mae Relaford Riley, a brother Floyd Manis, Jr. and a sister Catherine Ward.

Survivors include 3 daughters: Kathleen J. Thurman and husband Dan of Salina, Kansas, Jennifer M. Swayne of Edgewater, Florida, and

Wendy Hightman of San Diego;

1 son, Mark William Swayne of Lawrence, Kansas;

1 brother, Robert Manis of Kansas City, Kansas;

12 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

All services will be private. There will be no visitation.
