Patricia Lady

Patricia (Patty) Eugene Lady, 80 of Jonesboro passed away Saturday, September 2, 2023 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House.

She was born October 24, 1942 in Jonesboro, AR to Sid and Charlestine (Settlemire) Lee.

Patty was a member of Swifton United Methodist Church and a member of the Swifton United women of Faith. She formerly attended Fisher Street United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir, taught Sunday School, served as a pianist at times, and was a member of the United Methodist Women.

Patty graduated from Oak Grove High School in Paragould, AR and earned her BSE Degree from Arkansas State University. She began working in the Jonesboro Public Schools and retired after 32 years of service.

Patty is survived by her husband of 61 years, Bill Lady. One son, Bill Holtzclaw and wife Pam of Madison, AL. One daughter, Amy Giles of Heber Springs, AR. One sister, Pennye Best and husband George of Cash, AR. One sister-in-law, Sarah Franks of Paragould, AR. She is also survived by the light of her life – three granddaughters; Sydney (Michael) Hays of Madison, AL, Abygail (Alex) Koeberlein of Marietta, GA, and Shelby Butler of Heber Springs, AR. Four grandsons, Tommy Butler of Jonesboro, Austin, Spencer and Beau Butler of Vilonia, AR and two precious great-grand sons, Holt and Alden Hays of Madison, AL.

Special cousins Ron and Beverly Lee of Paragould, AR, Elaine McDonald of Lago Vista, TX, Debra Sterling of Jonesboro, Susan Straub and Sharron Settlemire of Shreveport, LA. Special friend, Rose Marie Dale and her Birthday Club Friends Lavonda Townsley, Sandy Gambill, and Brenda Grey.

Patty was proceeded in death by her parents and one sister, Paula Lee.

Visitation will be held at Emerson Funeral Home on Monday, September 11, 2023 from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m.

A memorial service will immediately follow the visitation at 2:00 p.m. with Brother Jerrod Bachuss officiating.
