Pat S. Coleman

Pat S. Coleman, 78, of Jonesboro, passed away Tuesday, May 9, 2017, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House.

Pat was born in Jonesboro and lived all of her life in the Jonesboro-Bono area. She was a long-time owner and operator of the Texaco Oil Distributorship in Jonesboro and continued to be the company accountant for the area Best Stops until her health declined. Pat earned a Bachelor of Accounting degree from Arkansas State University.

Pat was a member of Bono United Methodist Church where she served as church treasurer for many years. She was a volunteer with St. Bernards Auxiliary, Friends of the Library and performed volunteer accounting for the NEA Humane Society. She was active with several exercise groups, enjoyed traveling and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents: Willis C. and Cuba Hendrix Riggs, a son, Terry Coleman and a sister, Wanda Turner.

Survivors include 2 daughters and sons-in-law: Leslie and Greg Williams of Mountain Home, and Teresa and David Best of Jonesboro;
1 son and daughter-in-law, Andy and Julie Coleman of Paris, Tennessee;
5 grandchildren and their spouses: Tessa Williams, Tyler and Amber Williams, Stephanie and Joey Gage, Chelsea Best and Dylan Coleman;
1 great grandson, Chance Parker Williams;
1 special niece, Beth Hatten;
1 special great niece, Taylor Hatten;
1 special great nephew, Jacob Hatten; and a host of very close friends.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 21, 2017, at Bono United Methodist Church with Rev. Tom Dellinger officiating. Visitation will follow the memorial service at the church. Private burial was held in Jonesboro Memorial Park.
