PaPaw Ken Ellenburg, 73, of Walnut Ridge, died Monday, May 23, 2022, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. He was born in Paragould to Lawrence and Allie Ellenburg on October 10, 1948. He had lived in Walnut Ridge for about 5 months, moving there from Mountain Home. They had lived in Mountain Home for 5 years. Prior to Mountain Home they had lived in Craighead County since he was in the 10th Grade. He was of the Baptist belief. Kenny worked for the Craighead County Sheriff’s Department for 24 years, retiring as the Assistant Chief Deputy. He served his country in the US Army, during the Vietnam War. He loved spending time with his family, and his grandkids called his PaPaw. Hobbies include riding horses and riding his Harley Davidson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers. Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Renita Ellenburg, of the home; son, Dustin Ellenburg and wife Amber of Jonesboro; daughter, Kayla Isbell and husband, Zack of Walnut Ridge; brother, Larry Ellenburg of Paragould; sister Joyce Foster of Mountain Home; 18 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Graveside memorial service with be 5:00 P.M., Thursday, May 26, 2022, at Pine Log Cemetery with Glenn Smith officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Follow the service, a Celebration of Life Fellowship will be held at 6:00 in the New Antioch Baptist Church at Goobertown.
