Pamela Rose (Sneed) Benson

Pamela Rose (Sneed) Benson, 38, passed away at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, TN on August 9, 2023. She was born on August 6, 1985 in Plano, TX to Pamela Grubbs and Sebron Sneed. Rose and her husband lived in the Memphis area for the last nine years.

Rose was compassionate, especially to the downtrodden, and had a very loving spirit. She was the best aunt in the world and loved doting on her nieces and nephews – sharing arts and crafts with them and buying them gifts. She enjoyed gourmet cooking for family gatherings and her husband, Josh. Above all else, Rose adored caring for those she loved.

A dynamic person, Rose enjoyed travelling and going on cruises. When she was younger, Rose was active in local theatre, cheerleading, and gymnastics. She graduated at the top of her nursing school class. Rose was a Christian and attended church in both Jonesboro and Memphis. Along with her family, she attended Friendly Hope Baptist Church in Jonesboro.

Preceding her in death are her grandparents, Buddy and Lois Grubbs, and Morris and Louise Sneed; uncles, James Sneed and Dale Grubbs; and her aunt, Linda Grubbs.

Survivors include her loving husband, Joshua Benson; her mother and step-father, Pamela (Michael) Tomlinson; her father and step-mother, Stan (Diane) Sneed; her husband’s parents, Billy and Carrie Benson; sisters, Andrea Ciancarelli, Laura Camargo, Camille Ndichu, Natalie Sneed, and Abbey Sneed; beloved nieces and nephews, Jayla Sneed, Isaiah Sneed, Lila Camargo, Julie Camargo, Joey Ciancarelli, Sophie Ciancarelli, Lily Ciancarelli, and Stephen Ndichu; uncles, Dr. Danny (Bunny) Grubbs, and Henry Sneed; aunt, Sarah Bonfanti; and cousins, Sarah Bell, Shelli Womack, Xing Jones, Jie Grubbs, and Dillon Bonfanti.

A funeral service will be held at Emerson Memorial Chapel in Jonesboro on Saturday, August 12 at 3:00 p.m. Visitation will be held from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. prior to the service. A committal service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, August 14 at Beulah Cemetery near Monticello, AR.
