Otho Purvis Kemp, 78, of Jonesboro passed from this life Saturday September 21, 2019 at his home. He was born April 3, 1941 in West Ridge to the late Mildred and Otho Thomas Kemp.
Otho has lived in Jonesboro for several years after moving here from Chicago and was of the Baptist belief. Otho served our great country in the Navy during the Vietnam war and received the rank of Petty Officer Third Class.
In addition to his parents, Otho is preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Kemp and a brother, Kurt Kemp.
He is survived by his sons Robert Kemp of Chicago, IL, Vernon Lesley of Jonesboro, Maron (Nicole) Lesley of Paragould; daughters Lisa Jo Austin of Rankin, IL, Jammie Sterling (John Trattner) of Jonesboro, Veronica Cope of Monette; sisters, Tommy Lee Crow of Lepanto, Geraldine Culberson of Flint, MI and Patsy Ann Marin of Cash as well as 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
