Opal Shatley

Opal Shatley, 80, of Jonesboro, died Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at her home. She had lived in Jonesboro since 1963 moving here from Paragould. Opal was preceded in death by her husband, Earmon; her sons, Teddy and Kevin; daughter, Donna Winters.

Survivors include her son, David Shatley and wife Janet of Little Rock; daughters, Pam Flanigan and husband Chris; Tammy Fivecoat and husband, Mike all of Jonesboro; brothers, Tommy Walker of Little Rock; Arthur Walker of Lexington, Kentucky; Fred Walker of Kokomo, Indiana; nine grandchildren, five great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

Services will be 2:00 PM, Saturday afternoon, June 21, 2014 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Brother Matt Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery with Devan Winters, Layne Fivecoat, Garrett Shatley, Russ Pierce, Mike Jones and Scott Flanigan serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Total Life Healthcare, St. Bernard’s Hospice, Dr. Thomas Mulligan, Kathy Thielemier, Donna McCuiston, Amber Bingham, Angela Pugsley, and Melva Jones. Visitation will be from 5-7 Friday night at Emerson Funeral Home.
