Opal Medlin

Opal Medlin, 92, of Jonesboro died Wednesday, October 01, 2014 at St. Bernard’s Medical Center. She moved to Jonesboro in 1990, moving here from Brookland. Opal was a long-time member of Faith Freewill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim C. Medlin; brother, James W. Reed; sisters, Eunice Henley, Dorsie Mae Bateman and Lou Ella Horne.

Survivors include her son, Donald Gene Medlin of Checotah, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Donnie Dewayne Medlin and Lee Ann Medlin and one great grandchild, Jonathan Earl Bristol.

Graveside services will be 10:30 Friday morning, October 3, 2014 at Oaklawn Cemetery with Paul Bean and Ken Winningham officiating. Visitation will be from 9-10:00 Friday morning at Emerson Funeral Home.
