She lost Bill in August, 2016.
Opal is survived by Debra Green Joslin (and Jerry) of Judsonia, and Jeffrey Green (and Mary Ann) of Jonesboro. Her grandchildren were the light of both their lives. She was a long time and active member of Olive Branch Baptist Church, Bobo Road, in Pine Bluff. She enjoyed the many activities with the SAMS club, the Church Choir, and had many Christian friends.
Retiring in 1990 from AT&T, Opal worked 38 years in the Operator Services Division. She believed in hard work, participation, attitude, respect for others, and fairness. She expected nothing less from herself. Opal and Bill managed to make a dual income marriage work successfully by assuming roles outside their comfort zones.
