Opal Faye Chamness Petty

June 28, 1941 — June 10, 2015

Opal Faye Chamness Petty, 73, of Lake City, Arkansas died Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. She had lived in Lake City since 2003, moving there from Manila. Faye was active in the VFW. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jim Petty; three brothers and one sister.

Survivors include sons, Victor Chamness (Sandy) and David Chamness, both of Evansville, Indiana; Steve Chamness (Tara) of Lake City; Randy Chamness (Heather) of Manila; Stepson Stuart Petty of Jonesboro; stepdaughter, Marsha Petty of Paragould; brothers, Dale Hall and Elson Hall of Evansville, Indiana; Eddie Hall of Cave City; sisters, Verna Johnson of Jonesboro and Janie Beasley of Fort Smith; 14 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 5:00 PM, Saturday, June 13, 2015 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Dr. Victor Chamness officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Entombment will follow the service at Monette Cemetery with David Chamness, Steve Chamness, Randy Chamness, Rob Johnson, Tim Johnson and Eddie Hall serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 4 until service time on Saturday.
