Opal Alice Kirby Mcanally

August 29, 1920 — May 13, 2006

Opal Alice Kirby McAnally, 85, of Jonesboro, died Saturday morning at her home of natural causes.

Born in Manila, Mrs. McAnally lived several years in Etowah before moving to Jonesboro 40 years ago. She was a homemaker and a member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in Jonesboro.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Raymond Kirby; by 3 brothers and 1 sister.

Survivors include:

2 Daughters: Carolyn Wise of Jonesboro, and
Mary Fletcher of Caraway;

1 Sister: Emma Harris of Russellville;

4 Grandchildren: Cindy Wortham of Springfield, Missouri,
Rhonda Sneed of Greers Ferry, Samantha Hale of Caraway, and Amy Womack.

12 Great Grandchildren, and

1 Great, Great Grandson: Cooper Don Gibson.

Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 1:30 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Bro. Danny Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in Nettleton Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Sunday evening from 5-8 at Emerson Funeral Home in Jonesboro.
