Ollie Ann Hall

Ollie Ann Hall, 90, of Jonesboro, died peacefully, Tuesday, February 27, 2024
at the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House with her family by her side. She was born January 9,1934 to Donald and Wilma Falls Griffin.

A native and life-long resident of Jonesboro, Ollie Ann was a 1951 graduate of Valley View High School. She played basketball for the Blazers, and was remembered as an excellent athlete, scoring eighty (80) points in one game. She was a homemaker and worked at Eric Rogers and Son Insurance and Citizens Bank of Jonesboro before having children. When her children started school, she served as room mother. Ollie Ann was a life-long member of Christian Valley Christian Church.

In addition to her parents, Ollie Ann was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Melvin Hall; son, Kelsey Hall; two brothers, Charles Griffin and Don Griffin; and two sisters, Inez Salmons and Jane Turney.

Survivors include daughter, Melanie (Steve) Bracy, of Jonesboro; daughter-in-law, Stacy Hall, of Jonesboro; sister, Anita (Doyle) Yarbrough, of Jonesboro; grandsons, Anthony (Courtney) Bracy, and Sam (Tina) Hall, both of Jonesboro; granddaughters, Evan (Brandon) Moore, of Jonesboro and Stephanie (Greg) Speer, of Little Rock; four great-grandsons, Webb Bracy, Grayson Moore, Orion Hall, and Emerson Moore; one great-granddaughter, Maggie Bracy; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 29, at 2:30 p.m. at Emerson Funeral Home, in Jonesboro. Burial will follow at McDaniel Cemetery. Brother Mitch Ford and Myron Hall will officiate. Visitation will be held prior to the funeral service beginning at 1:00 p.m.

Active pallbearers will be Ken Yarbrough, Stan Salmons, Dr. Nathan Turney, Blake Griffin, Donnie Workman, and Shannon Hall. Honorary pallbearers will be the Valley View High School Class of 1951.
