Oleva Robison Harmon

Oleva Robison Harmon, 91, of Lake City passed from this life Friday, October 27, 2017 in Memphis, TN. She was born on May 3, 1926 to the late Jesse and Mollie Robison in Franklin, Arkansas. Oleva has resided in Lake City for over 65 years after coming from the Hardy and Highland area. She was a long time and faithful member of the Lunsford Baptist Church. Oleva was said to have never met a stranger and had a heart of gold. She just loved everyone she came into contact with and everyone loved her. Most of all Oleva enjoyed traveling the world and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was everyone’s “Nanny”.

Throughout Oleva’s life she spent her time working for Slant& Slant, Frolic Footwear, and spent some time as an in home caregiver as well.

In addition to her parents, Oleva is preceded in death by husband: James Howard Harmon; brothers and sisters; daughters: Anna Lee Baxter and Dolly Sue Harmon; and sons: Roger Dale Harmon, Lester Ray Harmon, Morris Gene “Coonie” Harmon, and a granddaughter, Carrie Harmon

Oleva is survived by her two sons: Bobby (Gisell) Harmon of Lake City and Jay Harmon of Jonesboro; two daughters: Annette Garrett of Brookland and Jeannette (Jody) Brown of Jonesboro; grandchildren: Kim (James) “Doty” Herring, Kevin Baxter, Ashley Harmon, Amber (Luke) Goodrich, Heath (Brittney) Harmon, Keisha Wilkinson, Bo Harmon, Angelica Harmon, Nicolle Harmon, Carter (Robyn) Garrett, and Gabrielle Keller. Great Grandchildren: Braden Herring, Alexa Herring, Jake Sims, Max Morrison, Henry Morrison, MJ Wilkinson, and Chloe Wilkinson.

A visitation will be from 6-8 pm Monday, October 30, 2017 at Emerson Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be at 2:00 pm Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at Emerson Funeral Home with Brother Ron Langston officiating: Burial will follow at Pine Log Cemetery with active pallbearers being: the men’s class of Lunsford Baptist Church.
