Olen Adam Hicks

Olen Adam Hicks, 85 of Jonesboro, passed from this life Saturday , March 7, 2015 at Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House. He was born June 4, 1929 to Dan and Della Winchester Hicks in Cord-Charlotte, Arkansas. Olen lived in Caraway before moving to Jonesboro thirty years ago. In Caraway, he was a city councilman. Olen was a member of Milligan Ridge Church of Christ and had served as song leader. He was a mechanic and owned his own business. He loved hunting, fishing, sports and being at the lake with the kids.

Olen is preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers, Winford Hicks, Danny Hicks, Sam Hicks, and Coy Hicks; 2 sisters, Ethel Strother and Pearl Bell.
Survivors include son, Gary Hicks and wife Suzan; daughter, Belinda Hicks Wimpy and husband Mark of Jonesboro; brother, J.C. Hicks of Albequerque, New Mexico; Ola Stoner of Mountain Home; and Jean Mouradian of LaGrange, Illinois; 4 grandchildren, Candice Holloway, Jerred Hicks, Haley Fitzgerald and Hannah McGhehey; and 7 great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM Monday, March 9, 2015 at Monette Memorial Cemetery with Danny Dunigan and Eddie Dunigan and Allen Hicks officiating.

There will be no visitation.
