O.C. Baker

O.C. Baker, 85, of Lake City, died Tuesday, February 08, 2011, at Lake Side Nursing Home. He has lived in Lake City since 1960, moving there from Lunsford and a member of First Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife.

Survivors include sons, Charles Baker and wife, Meldean; Jerry Baker and wife, Barbara, both of Lake City; Terry Baker and wife, Linda of Jonesboro; daughters, Elouise Drope and husband, Joe of Paragould, Carol Brooks and husband David; Karen Renee Baker, both of Lake City; brothers, Carl Baker of Lake City and Rudolph Baker of Clinton, Iowa. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, Tim Baker, Nick Baker, Cassie Baker, Sarah Jackson, Matt Baker, Luke Baker, Jeffery Wisham, Jeremy Wisham and Vickie Watkins; great grandchildren, Alexis, Ariel, Tyler, Shaunann and Reece; two great great grandchildren, Xander and Dareeus.

Funeral services will be 10:00 Saturday, February 12, 2011 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Brother Larry Owens officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial will be at Monette Cemetery with Grandchildren and their spouses serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Luke Baker and Jeremy Wisham. Visitation will be from 6-8 Friday night at Emersons.
