Norman David Sennett, Jr.

July 20, 1937 — January 29, 2024

Norman David Sennett, Jr., 86, of Jonesboro, formerly of Palestine, Texas, passed away on January 29, 2024 at St. Bernards Medical Center. He was born July 20, 1937 in Calais, Maine to Norman David Sennett, Sr. and Vyrena Mae Sennett.

Norman retired from the United States Air Force after 23 years where he worked as a radio mechanic and a mechanic for B52 bombers. While in the service, Norman met the love of his life, Bobbie, with whom he spent 56 wonderful years.

After retiring from the Air Force, Norman worked in St. Louis for McDonald Douglas and later managed a storage shed company in Texas. Norman enjoyed staying busy and was known for being a hard worker. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing and working on various projects around the house. Norman was also fond of crossword puzzles and anything that stimulated his mind. Above all else, Norman loved his wife and his family and will forever be remembered as an adoring husband to Bobbie and a wonderful father to his children.

In addition to his parents, Norman is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Bobbie and his sister, Linda Ramirez.

Norman is survived by his son, David Sennett and his wife, Melissa, of Jonesboro; daughter, Louisa Sennett and her wife, Billie Strong, of Palestine, Texas; grandchildren, Samantha Sennett of Jonesboro, Desiree Linder of Houston, Texas, and Jeremy Sennet and his wife, Cassie, of Goodyear, Arizona; and his great-granddaughter, Eleanore of Jonesboro.

The family is planning a graveside service at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Palestine, Texas at a later date.
