Norman Eugene Eidson Jr. 43, of Lake City, died Thursday April 29, 2010 at St. Bernard’s Medical Center.
He was born in Jonesboro, and had lived in Lake City most of his life. He was a bindery worker for Quebecor World Press and a member of the Refuge General Baptist Church.
He was a volunteer fireman for the Lake City Volunteer Fire Department for over 20 years and Chief for nine years. His succeeded his father Norman Eugene Eidson Sr., who was a previous fire chief for the Department.
He is survived by his sons, Jason and Jared Eidson both of Lake City.
Mother, Linda Eidson of Lake City.
Brother, Joe Eidson and wife Jodie of Mt. Ida, Arkansas.
Sister, Laquietta Eidson of Marion, Arkansas
Two nephews; Joseph and Dylan Eidson both of Mt. Ida.
Funeral service will be at 2:00 P.M. Sunday May 2, at Emerson Memorial Chapel, with Rev. Larry Ward officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Log Cemetery with Department “Final Call” Honors.
Pallbearers will be firefighters from the Lake City Fire Department.
Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. Sunday until service time at Emerson Memorial Chapel, with Emerson Funeral Home in charge.
