Norma Weir

Norma Weir, 85 of Bay passed from this life on Friday, September 25, 2015 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Norma was born on September 3, 1930 in Ripley, MS to the late Cleveland and Annie Pearl White Childers. She retired from the Bay Public School systems, where she served as the School Food Service Director for 21 years. She took pride in making sure that the kids received good quality meals every day throughout her career at Bay. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and a member of Trinity Church in Jonesboro for over 35 years.

She is survived by her loving husband, Gene Weir of Bay; three sons, George C. Weir and his wife Sandy of Ash Flat, Joe-Ed Weir and his wife Donisha, and Jeffery Weir and his wife Michelle all of Bay; one daughter, Marsha L. Tharp and her husband Danny of Success; one brother, Jimmy Childers of Montgomery, AL; two sisters, Mary Jo Hardwick of Clinton, MS and Lisa Shannon of Saltillo, MS; ten grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild; and a host of other family and friends.

Family will have a private Graveside service with Chad Gonzales officiating.

Visitation will be Monday evening from 6-8pm at Emerson Funeral Home.
