Norma “Sue” Roach, 86, of Jonesboro passed away Saturday, February 10, 2024, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. She was born June 7, 1937, in Etowah, AR to the late Smith Dalton Green and Ara Letha Morgan. Sue was known by family, friends, and neighbors for her amazing cooking skills. She also enjoyed quilting and was part of a group of ladies at United Methodist Church of Nettleton who quilted every Wednesday. In younger years she loved gardening and fishing the White River. Her favorite activity was cooking for and spending time with family.
In addition to her parents, Sue was preceded in death by her husband, James Lavaughn Roach; 2 brothers, Travis Green, Doug Garner and a sister, Ann Mitleff.
Survivors include her daughter, Sherri Bearden; son, Tim Moore; 3 brothers: Murlen, Terry, and Jimmy Garner; 10 grandchildren: Tiffany Leggett, Caroline McDaniel, Andrew, Elizabeth and Christopher Bearden, Kenneth and Brian Moore, Cameron, Clayton and Emma Claire Roach; 10 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be Thursday, February 15, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Bro. Lindell Pratt officiating. Burial will follow at Harrisburg Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
