Norma Stump

Norma J. Stump, 89, of Jonesboro passed away Friday, January 21, 2022 at NEA Baptist Medical Center. She was born July 3, 1932 in Jonesboro to the late William and Lela Haag.

Norma was a member of First Baptist Church of Jonesboro. She enjoyed playing bridge, reading books and fishing. She also enjoyed sewing and quilting when she was younger. Norma was a homemaker for many years but later on went to nursing school and became a Registered Nurse.

In addition to her parents, Norma was preceded in death by her husband, John Stump; sisters, Laverne Chappius and Geneva Spradling and brothers, William Haag and Robert Haag.

Survivors include her son, John David Stump of Jonesboro; 4 daughters: Georgeanne Lowrey of Ft. Smith, Janice (David) Clark of Black Rock, Gayle (Larry) Yancey of Lakeway, Texas, Laura (Ronnie) White of Jonesboro; 13 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at 11:00 am at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.
