Norma Jane Dobbs

Norma “Jane” Dobbs, 64, of Russellville formerly of Jonesboro passed from this life on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at MD Anderson in Houston.

Jane was a multi-talented and hardworking lady that was holding down up to three jobs before getting to married to the love of her life Glenn Dobbs. She worked as a cost accountant for FMC Corporation, Accounting office at Kmart, and stocker at JcPenney.   After marriage she became a home manager, where not only did she keep her home in line she enjoyed taking on big task. She had artistic abilities especially for building and remodeling. She was a self-taught computer expert, where she used that talent to help friends and her church. She rebuilt many computers for the Russellville Baptist Association classes for women. She served several years as the church treasurer. She was a very passionate Christian and Patriot.

She had a passion and love for animals. She spent a lot of her time rescuing animals. She helped many organizations and individuals. Some of the rescues that she supported were the Shooting Star Equine Rescue Inc. out of Kansas, Beauty’s Haven in Florida, Friends of Barbaro, Blind Cat Sanctuary, ALFA, and she shared a love for animals in Jonesboro as well as her home in Russellville.

She was preceded in death by her father, Willard Bobbitt.

She is survived by her loving husband, Glenn Dobbs of Russellville; mother, Vivian Ard Bobbitt of Jonesboro; brother, Allen Bobbitt of Jonesboro; and sister, Anna Voyles of Jonesboro; and a host of other family and many friends.

Graveside memorial service followed by fellowship in the chapel honoring and celebrating the life of Jane Dobbs, November18 at 1:00 p.m. at Fakes Chapel and cemetery, Hwy 17 North, McCrory, AR. Casual attire is desired.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested that you consider donations to your favorite animal rescue organization.

Her love for her husband and extended family was demonstrated by the sacrifices she continually made. She will be missed beyond description, but she is waiting for us in paradise.
