Norma Cook, 83, of Jonesboro, passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2017, at the Lexington Place Healthcare Center in Jonesboro.
Norma was born in Jonesboro and lived most of her life in Jonesboro. She worked several years at City Water and Light as a customer service representative and 15 years at Fred's Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician. Following her employment at Fred's, Norma was an in-home personal care provider.
Norma was a member of South Caraway Road Baptist Church where she served as church clerk for 5 years. She was preceded in death by her dad, momma, sister, brother and stepmother.
Survivors include her daughter: Jonna Johanson (Mike) of Jonesboro;
1 sister, Lou Ann Veteto (Dennis) of Georgia;
1 sister-in-law, Becky Carter of Jonesboro;
1 granddaughter, Haven Johanson of Cordova, Tennessee; and
Several nephews, nieces and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Rev. Don Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park. Visitation will precede the funeral service from 1:00-2:00 in the chapel.

We as a family are so saddened by Norma no longer being with us, yet, we know she is celebrating seeing, hearing, walking with and being with Jesus, her family and friends. So, we don't say goodbye; we say, "See you on the other side of the rainbow."
