Nora Mae Vaughn

Nora Mae Vaughn, 81, of Jonesboro, passed from this life on January 22, 2022 at Craighead Nursing Center. Nora was born on November 16, 1940 to the late Earmel and Frank Polsgrove in Leachville. In addition to her parents, Nora is preceded in death by her husband, Jim Vaughn; sister, Frankie Brewer; brother, James Polsgrove; grandson, Brian Reeves; great-grandson Levi Hill; and great-granddaughters Kennedy Doyle and Marley Reeves.

Nora lived in Northeast Arkansas her entire life. Raised a Christian, she attended Rose Chapel Church where her father was the song leader. Nora loved camping on the Spring River, riding roller coasters, and attending concerts. She loved Alan Jackson, Elvis, and Conway Twitty. Nora’s children and family meant everything to her. She was extremely loyal and a devoted wife.

Nora is survived by her sons, Mark Vaughn (Gwen) of Bono, Barry Vaughn (Brenda) of Jonesboro, and Steven Vaughn (Christina) of Little Rock; sisters, Melba Hawkins (Johnny) of Leachville and Carrol Lane of Jonesboro; grandchildren, Brandy Doyle (Barry); Barry Keith Vaughn (Kaylyn); Brook McFarlin (Brock); Tyler Vaughn (Megan); Natalie Dill (Evan); Micah Arnold (Jason); 10 great grandchildren; and honorary family members, MaKayla Daniels and the women of J & N BBQ.
