Nolan "Bud" Reece, 84. of Jonesboro passed away Friday, July 28, 2017, at the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House.
Bud was born in the Nettleton area to JW and Lilly Mae Doty Reece. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, serving from 1950-1953. He owned and operated Bud's Starter and Generator Shop in Jonesboro for 41 years. Bud and his wife, Linda, attended Trinity Church.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Linda Bowers Reece, a son Michael (Donnell) Reece and a daughter LeeAnn (Clay) McDaniel. Four grandchildren Matt (Katie) Reece, Greg (Lindsey) Reece, Jace ( Alivia) McDaniel, Stephanie (Brenden) Camp and 3 great grandchildren. A brother, Jerry (Carolyn) Reece, and two sisters, Brenda Ingram and Virginia Fielder.
Bud was preceded in death by his father, JW Reece; his mothers: Lilly Mae Doty Reece and Angie Faye Byford Reece; two sisters: Margaret Davis Conrad and Anita Faye Reece; and a brother Aaron Reece.
Visitation will be Sunday, July 30, 2017, from 6-8:00 p.m. at Emerson Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday in Emerson Memorial Chapel Dr. Jimmy Adcox officiating. Burial will follow in Nettleton Cemetery.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers along with nephews Danny Burrow, Bobby Burrow and Jarrod Reece.
Honorary pallbearers include Hollis "Nick" Stanford, Bob Belcher, Terry Reece,
Dr. David Pyle, Mark Underwood and Billy Russell.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House, 400 East St., Jonesboro, AR 72401.
