Nola Houston

Nola Houston, 81, of Jonesboro passed from this life Tuesday, February 7, 2017. She was born April 29, 1935 in Bay to the late George and Mary Biddle. Nola lived her life residing the Jonesboro area while also being a member of the Southwest Church of Christ. She was a graduate of Valley View Highschool and a former member of Beta Sigma Phi while attending college. Nola loved her time working in retail sales while also being a homemaker. Above all else, Nola loved being outdoors and spending time gardening.

In addition to Nola’s parents, she is preceded in death by one sister: Irma Cole Bingham; and two brothers: H.Q. Regan and Carl Regan.

Nola is survived by her husband, Glenn Houston, of 58 years; one son: Clay (Lisa) Houston of Jonesboro; two daughters: Cindy (Estes) Graves of Gulfport, MS and Renee (Jim) Brewer of Jonesboro; two sisters: twin sister Ola Freibolt of Hot Springs and Faye Powell of Little Rock; four grandchildren: Alison Peterson, Chris Talley, Courtney Brewer, and Skyler Brewer; and one great grandson; Kaden Peterson.

Family will receive friends for a gathering at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery for a graveside service that will be at 10 am Monday, February 13, 2017 with Jimmy Adcox officiating. Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Honorary Pallbearers will be: Clay Houston, Chris Talley, Estes Graves, Jim Brewer, Philip Cole, and Don Cole.
