Nick Rook

Nick Rook, 46, of Nesbit, Mississippi, died Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at his home.  He was born in Jonesboro on July 17, 1978, to Ted and Patsey Rook.  He had lived in Nesbit for the past four years, moving there from Jonesboro.  He was a member of the Forrest Home Church of the Nazarene. He was an accredited airplane mechanic for FedEx.  He loved playing music and was a very good guitarist.  He graduated from Nettleton High School in 1996, where he was very involved in FFA, Choir and many other School activities.  He graduated from Black River Technical Aviation School and Baker School of Aeronautics.

Survivors include his parents, Ted and Patsey Rook; daughters, Eva Rook, Kennedy Rook, and their mother, Megan Rhea; brother Josh Rook, and wife Kali, all of Jonesboro; nieces and nephews, Beau Rook, Maci Rook, Emmi Kate Rook; uncles, Dick Rook, Rick Rook, John Stilwell, Gregg Stillwell; aunt, Mina Rook Davis and grandmother, Pat Stillwell.

A Celebration of Life Service will be 2:00 Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Ken Stallings and Tony Miller officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial will be at Pine Log Cemetery with Marvin Baird, Jeremy Stracener, Eric Brownderville, Cameron Boyd, John Layman, John Bell, Shannon Simino and Wes Fairchild serving as pallbearers.  Honorary pallbearers are the Nettleton Class of 1996 and former Nettleton FFA members. Visitation will be from 1:00 until service time.
