Nicholas Dion Ditata

July 2, 1993 — October 6, 2007

Nicholas Dion Thomas DiTata, 14, of Jonesboro, died Saturday morning from injuries sustained in a single-vehicle accident in Jonesboro.

Born in Hot Springs, Nicholas moved to Jonesboro in 2002. He was an eighth grader in Jonesboro and was a member of Central Baptist Church of Jonesboro.

Nicholas was a member of the Craighead County Storm Chasers and was preceded in death by his grandparents: Janelle Bailey, William DiTata and Marie DiTata.

Survivors include:
His parents: Ritchy and Cheri DiTata of the home;

3 Sisters: Bailey DiTata of the home, and
Jillian DiTata, and
Kirstin DiTata, both of Jonesboro;

2 Brothers: Ritchy DiTata, Jr. of Tuttle, Oklahoma, and
Branden DiTata of the home;

2 Aunts: Tommi Jo Bailey of Hot Springs, and
Terri Bailey of Indiana;

2 Uncles: Tony DiTata of Oklahoma City, and
Jerry and Pam DiTata of Ronkonkoma, New York.

Nicholas DiTata was a very strong-spirited young man. As a true Italian, he loved all women. He was very passionate about his family and especially close to his mother.

Nick had many goals and strong ambitions. He planned to serve our country and join the marines as soon as he turned 18.

Nick shared his dad’s personality and great sense of humor. He could make anyone laugh at any time.

Nick loved all animals and nature. Nick would take in any dog he could. He loved being outside which prompted his commitment to help save our planet.

He had a strong relationship with music, his favorite being rap.

Nick was a very compassionate person who could have accomplished many great things during his life. He was a great young man and will be loved and missed by many.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday evening at 7:00 at Emerson Memorial Chapel.
There will be no visitation.
