Nicholas Deshaun Carter, 31, of Memphis, Tennessee passed from this life Saturday, December 22, 2018 at St. Bernard’s Hospital, Jonesboro Arkansas. He was born on February 28, 1987 in Memphis, Tennessee to Homer and Betty Carter. Nicholas has resided in Jonesboro since 2008 after relocating from Memphis, Tennessee. He fellowshipped at Miller’s Temple Church of God In Christ, here in Jonesboro Arkansas. Nicholas thoroughly enjoyed his many years of playing football with a magnitude of outstanding accomplishments. The Carolina Panthers were his favorite NFL team, which he loved. He also enjoyed rabbit hunting and fishing. Two of the greatest things that Nicholas gave to the world were his genuine heart and infectious smile.
He is preceded in death by his father, Homer Carter Jr., Brother, John Speed, and grandmother, Jessie Lee Martin.
Nicholas is survived by his mother, Betty Carter of the home; three brothers: Michael (Tamika) Speed of Jonesboro, Maurice Carter of Rockford, Illinois, and Bruce (Angela) Carter of Rockford, Illinois; Sister: Jessica Carter of Ripley, TN; four special nieces: Alexis Speed, Je’Riyah Bass, Kaylan Lewis, and Bailee Speed; and two Nephews: Braydon Lasley, Kameron Lewis-Speed, Kaleb McCullough, and Quizell Johnson and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins, and a special friend and significant other: Ashley Sanders.
A memorial service will be at noon Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Miller’s Temple Church of God In Christ with Elder Glen Conley officiating.
Burial will be private.
