Nettie Elizabeth Oldham

Nettie Elizabeth Oldham, 87, passed Tuesday, September 24, 2013, at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House.

Nettie was born September 8, 1926, in Black Rock to the late Thomas Mose Robertson and Edith Beeler Robertson. Mrs. Oldham was a homemaker and a member of the Walnut Street Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother whose greatest joy was raising her family.

Survivors include her children, Diane Seymore and her husband Curt and Shane Oldham all of Jonesboro; four grandchildren, Chad Oldham (Tiffany), Meridith Oldham, Daya Seymore Shipman (David) and Whitney Oldham Miller; seven great grandchildren, Morgan McAlexander, Bailey McAlexander, Jayden Miller, Austin Shipman, Wyatt Oldham, Nichole Oldham and Ava Oldham; a daughter-in-law, Donna Oldham; two sisters, Evelyn Flippo and Betty Jean McCarty.

Nettie was preceded in death by her husband, Frank W. Oldham, Sr., two sons, Frank W. Oldham, Jr. and Mark D. Oldham; two sisters, Dora McAlister and Maudie Rogers; nine brothers, Vernon, Sherman, Shelby, Bernard, Lavelle, Virgil, Doris and T.J. Robertson and Vela Brown.

A graveside service to celebrate her life will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 28, 2013, at Jonesboro Memorial Park with Rev. Jerry Parker officiating. The family will receive friends from noon until 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Emerson Funeral Home.
