Nema Jane Brewer

Nema Jane Brewer, 82, of Jonesboro died Tuesday February 17, 2015 at her home. She was born in Mt. View, Arkansas on September 20, 1932 to the late Willie and Martha Clark Burrow. She had lived in Jonesboro most of her life, was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church. Nema loved spending time with her family, reading books and working in the garden.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; Lloyd Paul Brewer, brother; Garfield Burrow, 4 sisters; Settie Frego, Blanche Frazier, Imogene Schlagel and Inez Warren.

Survived by her daughter; Linda Goad and husband Michael of Jonesboro.
Brother; Lonnie Burrow of Little Rock.

Sisters; Donna Jo Easley of Plano, Texas, Faye Graftenreed of Ironton, Missouri, Bonnie Graftenreed of Paragould and Viola Litaker of Benton Harbor, Michigan.

2 grandchildren; Jacob Goad and Lauren Goad.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday February 20, 2015 in the First United Methodist Church Chapel with Rev, Patty Soward officiating. Burial will follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge.

Visitation will be held from 5-7:00 p.m. on Thursday February 19, at Emerson Funeral Home.

Active pallbearers will be Tom Chester, Jim Rupard, Josh Burrow, Cody Rollins, Fred Frego and Tim Frego.
Honorary pallbearers will be Calvin Lard, Dr. Doug Maglothin and Lou Garftenreed.

In lieu of flowers; the family has requested that memorials; be made to the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House, 1138 E. Matthews Avenue, Jonesboro, Arkansas 72401 or to the First United Methodist Church Youth group, 801 S. Main Jonesboro, Arkansas 72401.
