Nelvan Andrew Wade, 81, of Jonesboro died Tuesday May 31, at his home.

He was born in Bono, Arkansas and had lived in Jonesboro most of his life. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, retired truck driver for Atlas Asphalt and of the Pentecostal belief. He loved blue grass music, fishing and making a garden.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruthie Mae Owens Wade, parents, Joseph Elmer and Lucy Mae Gill Wade, four brothers, Adrian “Smog” Wade, Leslie Wade, Cecil Wade and Mitchell Wade.

Survived by two sons, Carroll Andrew Wade and fiancée Pam Loggins of Jonesboro.

Nelvan Charles Wade and Wife Audray of Illinois.

Daughter, Carrie Ann Kinman and husband Jerry of Jonesboro
Two brothers, Dean Wade of Ione, California and Cloyce Wade of Jonesboro.

Two sisters, Myrt Kitchen of Jonesboro and Marie Frazier of Kerrville, Texas.

Grandchildren, Amy Rainey, Andy Wade, Mitchell Kinman, Marty Kinman, Colby Kinman, Jason, Aron, Josh, Nellie and Jessie Wade.
Several Great Grandchildren.

Graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday June 3, 2011 at Oakridge Cemetery, with Rev. Dub Holt officiating. Emerson Funeral Home in charge.

Visitation will be from 5-7:00 P.M. Thursday June 2, at Emerson Funeral Home.

Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons.
