Naomi Pagan, 86, of Poughkeepsie died Sunday, April 17, 2011, at her home. She had lived in Poughkeepsie for 28 years, moving there from Bay, Arkansas. She was a member of the Pleasant Ridge Community Church and loved collecting pictures of her grandchildren and great grandchild. Naomi was preceded in death by her parents, William “Bud” and Lillie Pearl Pendergraff; brothers, Lonnie , Emmett and Edward Pendergraff; sister, Viola Adams Lovern; great grandson, Toby Allen Pagan; son-in-law, Hal Onstead and three infant children.
Survivors are her husband of 68 years, Luther Pagan, of the home; sons, Larry Pagan, Jimmy (Mary) Pagan of Poughkeepsie; Danny (Connie) Pagan of Splendora, Texas; Johnny (Sherri) Pagan of Bay; Ricky (Donna) Pagan of Jonesboro; daughter, Patricia Onstead of Bay; sister, Ruth Hester of Bay; brother, Henry Pendergraff of Bay; 9 grandchildren, 14 grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Graveside services will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at Nettleton Cemetery with Jim Collins officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers and granddaughters will serve as honorary pallbearers. Visitation will be from 5-7 Tuesday evening at Emerson Funeral Home.
