Naomi Mae Marlin, 85, of Jonesboro passed from this life Sunday, November 8, 2015 at the Craighead County Nursing Center. She was born June 14, 1930 in Walnut Ridge to the late William “Willie” and Muncie Smith. Naomi was a member of the Walnut Street Baptist Church. She enjoyed being a member of the choir and loved spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, Naomi was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Ray Marlin; daughter, Belinda Kay Moore and two sisters: Imagene Marlin and Anna Lois Wilson.
Survivors include her son, Ken (Renee) Marlin of Atlanta; two daughters, Debbie (Paul) Lavender of Nova Scotia, Sheila (Stephen) Wyatt of Atlanta; one brother, Darrell (Maxine) Smith; ten grandchildren: Matthew Moore, Dean Moore, Ben Moore, Paula Ehmann, Samuel Lavender, Andrew Lavender, Andrea Pendley, Nick Marlin, Rachel Floyd, Eric Wyatt and twenty-three great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at 11:00 am in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Dr. Glen Putman officiating. Burial will follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday, from 5:00-7:00 pm at Emerson Funeral Home.
