Nancy Lanelle Howell

Nancy Yell Howell, 68, of Jonesboro passed away Monday, July 22, 2024 surrounded by her loving family.  She was born in Huntsville, Alabama to Robert Sr. and Joyce Yell.

She was the proud owner of Howell’s Tax Service for over 40 years.  She loved and treated her clients like her own family.  It was her mission to help people work through a sometimes difficult process and make it easier for them.

She was an avid reader and loved making holiday meals for the enjoyment of her family.  She collected decorative owls and received many as gifts from her clients in appreciation for her services.

She is survived by her daughter, Kristy Jordan (Jeff) of Jonesboro, her granddaughter, Megan Phillips of Rhode Island, her canine son (Elmer Fudge) and her husband of 42 years, Mark.

The family will host a celebration of her life at a later time.  Please hold off on memorials until her celebration.
