Nancy Katherine Hood, 60, of Joiner, passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2026 at St. Bernards Medical Center. She was born on March 16, 1966 in Marks, Mississippi to Vines Monroe Sanders and Margie N. (Tollison) Sanders.

Nancy called Joiner, Arkansas home for over 30 years. She loved gardening and being outside and was always ready to hear some good gossip. She enjoyed people watching and loved being in the know about what was happening with the people around her. She was very involved in her family’s lives and found special joy in spending time with her children and grandchildren. Over the years, she became especially attached to her daughter-in-law, Kristy, and son-in-law, Tony, often claiming that she preferred them to her own children. Spending time with and caring for her beloved dog, RJ, also brought Nancy immense happiness.

In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her brothers, John, Rufus, and Allen Sanders.

She is survived by her son, Chris Hood and wife, Kristy, of Keiser; daughter, Hollie Moore and husband, Tony, of Joiner; grandchildren, Rayghen Faulkner, Katherine Hood, Christopher Hood III, William Moore, Karlee Moore, and Lucian Moore; brothers, Junior Sanders and Harvey Sanders; and a host of loving family and friends.

In keeping with Nancy’s wishes, all services will be private.
