Nancy Ann Gregory

Nancy Ann Gregory, 90, of Bono passed from this life Friday, March 18, 2022 at her home. She was born March 29, 1931 in Troy, Tennessee to the late Quinton Howell White and Elizabeth Mae (Hughes) White.

After graduating from Blytheville High School, Nancy went on to nursing school in Memphis, Tennessee. She returned to Blytheville and worked at Rainwater Workman Clinic for Dr. Ron Smith MD until June of 1980 when her husband was stationed overseas at Clark Airbase in the Philippines. There she began volunteer work with the Red Cross. She served military families for the following 20 years at bases in Hawaii, Florida, and Kentucky. Since retirement, she and her husband John have resided in Bono.

In addition to her parents, Nancy is preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn Caldwell.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, John William Gregory III, of the home; sons, Travis Wayne Deen (Gail) of Ballwin, Missouri, Gary Lynn Deen of Blytheville, and Glenn Marshall Poole (Stacy) of Bono; daughters, Mary Ellen McLaughlin (Mike) of Athens, Alabama, Erin LeNice Chobo (Nathan) of Chicago, Illinois and Samantha Elizabeth McBroom (Justin) of Bono; grandkids, Whitney, Eric, Anna, Amy, Britany, James, Ashley, Hunter, Blaine, Alex, Drake, Sawyer, Josh, Jeremy, Christine, Richard and Victoria as well as 18 great-grandkids. She also left behind a host of “extra” kids who lovingly referred to her as Memaw.

A visitation will be held Sunday, March 20, 2022 from 4-6 pm at Emerson Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held at 2 pm Monday, March 21, 2022 at St. Timothy’s Anglican Church in Jonesboro. Burial will follow at Trinity Cemetery in Bono. Those serving as pallbearers include Alex Kelley, Hunter Poole, Eric Deen, Josh McLaughlin, Ryder McLaughlin and Richard Hall.
