Nancy Green

Nancy Green, 72, of Jonesboro, died December 5, 2012 at St. Bernards Medical Center. Born in Spearsville, Louisiana, she had lived in the Jonesboro area most of her life. Nancy loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also liked to cook, being outdoors, arts and crafts, traveling with her husband, and country music, especially Conway Twitty. She was a member of Magnolia Road Baptist Church.

Nancy is survived by her children, Ricky Carpenter, Jonesboro, Bruce Carpenter, Spearsville, Louisiana, Bobby Green, El Dorado, Mary Dulaney, Jonesboro, Berniece Porter, El Dorado, Rebecca Carpenter, Donna Jones, Janet Davis, Joan Dorris, all of Jonesboro, Debbie McCullar, Heber Springs; a sister, Vergie Stringer, Spearsville, Louisiana; 23 grandchildren; and 25 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Green; parents, Albert & Clara Dison Green; sister, Barbara Black; and brothers, Verna Green and Alton Green.

Graveside services will be Friday, December 7, 2012 at 2:30 p.m. at Wilson Cemetery in Greenfield with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Serving as active pallbearers will be Bobby Davis, Les Dorris, Mike Porter, Michael Porter, Zach Dorris, Doug Ohman, Bobby Green, Tim Colburn, Nick Gann, and Daniel Carpenter.

Visitation will be Friday 11:00 – 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
