Lora Nadine “Sis” Wilson, 95, of Jonesboro passed from this life Thursday, October 4, 2018 at St. Bernard’s Medical Center. She was born to the late Raymond and Oma McClaren in Newport on October 24, 1922. Lora has resided in Jonesboro since 1983 after coming from Weiner. She was a long time member of the Victory General Baptist Church. Lora enjoyed walking around the mall, drinking coffee and visiting with others. She also loved spending time at the lake, crocheting, and going to her family reunions. Most of all Lora loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Lora is preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Earl Wilson Sr. and four brothers.

Lora is survived in death by four sons: Earl( Sharon) Wilson of Jonesboro, Murriel Wilson of Jonesboro, Wayne(Debbie) Wilson of Bryant; and Keenan Wilson of Lake City; daughter: Glenda Cowan of Jonesboro; and eight grandchildren: Staci(Bobby) Gibson of Jonesboro, Dr. Paige( Bart) Jones of Jonesboro, Michelle Wilson of Jonesboro, Dr. Matt(Elizabeth) Tilley of Seattle, Jonathan Wilson of Jonesboro, Chance( Angie) Wilson of Charleston SC, Landon Wilson of Bryant, Courtney Wilson of Minneapolis, MN, and; and nine great grandchildren.

A visitation will be from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at Emerson Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at Emerson Funeral Home with Rev. Dale Blackwell and Dr. Johnny Hutchison officiating. Burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with active pallbearers being Matt Tilley, Landon Wilson, Chance Wilson, Bobby Gibson, Larry Wilson, James Wilson, Troy Wilson, and Jonathan Wilson. The honorary pallbearers will be John Sanderson, Chad Elrod, Dr. Brent Elrod, Dr. Michael Wilson, Gerald Vickery, Charles White, Ed Goodwin, Terry Smith, and Freddy Ford.
