Myrna Annette Gilliam French departed this life and met her Savior face to face on July 25, 2019, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House after a courageous battle with ALS.
Myrna was a faithful member of Central Baptist Church in Jonesboro, AR and a beloved
member of "The Gathering" Life Group there. She was an honor graduate of Harrisburg High School and graduated at the top of her class from the University of Tennessee Health Sciences Campus. She worked as a dental hygienist for many years and her patients were very special to her. For the past 17 years, she has worked with the Parkey and Davis Dental team in Jonesboro. Her most important job was caring for her family and providing a Christian home for her children.
Myrna married the love of her life and best friend, Stacy French, on June 21, 1996, and
they enjoyed 23 beautiful years of marriage. Myrna loved her church family and reading her bible. She found great joy in this life in her family, her pets, traveling, exercising, and reading.
Myrna was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Virginia Gilliam of
Harrisburg and her father-in-law, Jimmy French of Fisher.
She is survived by her husband, Stacy French, of the home, a daughter, Gilliam Lynn
French, of the home, and a son, Jimmy Ashton French, of the home. Her children were the joy of her life. Other survivors include her brother, Craig Gilliam, of Little Rock and three sisters, Nechia Whittingham (Steve) of Harrisburg, Leah Price (Val) of Jonesboro, and Maria Daniel (Stan) of Jonesboro. She is also survived by her precious mother-in-law, Sue French of Jonesboro and a special sister-in-law, Kristi Bise (Keith) of Weiner and many loved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Services will be held at Central Baptist Church on July 27, 2019. Visitation will be held
from 9-11 am followed by the Celebration of Life at 11: 00 am led by Senior Pastor, Dr. Archie Mason. Interment will follow at the Fisher Cemetery in Fisher Arkansas with Emerson Funeral Home in charge.
Honorary pallbearers will be the team of Parkey and Davis and "The Gathering" Life Group of Central Baptist Church.
Pallbearers will be beloved nephews, Brian Whittingham, Grant Whittingham, Ethan Bise, Avery Bise, Raymond Gilliam, and Matthew Gilliam.
